Creating campaigns

In Perslace, a campaign is created using Campaign Mode in the commission scheme builder. The reviewed campaign used a finite assignment window. Whether Effective To is required for every campaign has not been verified.

This guide is intended for Administrators and authorised Finance users.

Before you begin, prepare:

  • An approved campaign objective
  • The eligible employee, group, or branch population
  • Start and end dates
  • The Metric Definition and data source
  • Approved rules or formula
  • The campaign budget and approval evidence
  1. Open Commission and select Create From Scratch.
  2. Complete Scheme Setup.
  3. Enable Campaign Mode.
  4. Enter the campaign name, purpose, and frequency using the standard scheme fields.
  5. Add plan-wide qualifiers if only certain transactions are eligible.
  6. Build the approved calculation rules.

Example only: One reviewed test campaign used DEALS Count ranges with a count multiplied by a currency amount. Do not treat this as a recommended campaign formula.

  1. Check for gaps and overlaps in the ranges. Confirm the currency, intended eligibility, and rule boundaries with synthetic transactions.
  2. Review and publish only after validation and approval.
  3. Select Assign Plan and choose the approved group, branch, or individual population.
  4. Enter the approved start date. Add an end date when the campaign design requires it.

Verification required: Whether Effective To is mandatory for every campaign has not been confirmed.

  1. Open the plan detail and confirm Period Type: Campaign, assignment dates, and participants.
  2. Review Commission Earned for the assigned groups, scope, payout, average, volume, and qualified sales.

The plan detail identifies the scheme as a campaign, its assignment dates match the approved campaign period, and its rules apply only to the intended population.

Warning: Incorrect dates, ranges, or formulas can affect every participant. Validate the campaign using synthetic transactions before applying it to production data.

  • The reviewed example appeared as Campaign in plan detail and Milestone in Scheme Settings.
  • Activation timing and post-publish editing remain unverified.
  • A future animation should show Campaign Mode → rules → dates → plan detail in 35–45 seconds and use only synthetic data.

Check the plan detail, assignment dates, and participant scope. Record and report the naming inconsistency if the plan detail says Campaign.

Compare the metric, ranges, formula, qualifiers, evaluation method, and currency.

Check whether the employee belongs to the assigned branch, group, or individual population and whether the assignment dates cover the campaign period.
